Art space Mackay
This art musuem is a popular venue for artists to display their works. It often hosts events and has plenty of activities to get involved in. Gordon Street, Mackay (07 4957 1775).
Horse Riding
You can trail ride for one to three hours through pretty bushtrails. Loca ted at Stoney Creek Farm Stay, 28km southwest of Mackay. Peak Downs highway (07 4954 1177).
Snorkelling
Good snorkeling off Brampton Island allows you to view the beautiful coral up close. There are also plenty of water activities and fishing off the Isalnd. Brampton Island can be reached by boat from Mackay Marina or helicopter charter from Mackay Airport.
