Train
Queensland Rail operate trains between Brisbane and Townsville with stops to Mackay in between.The Tilt Train operates several days per week, and the major Queensland distance train the Sunlander stops at Mackay as well. The train station can be located at Paget, 3km South of the CBD. Queensland Rail (13 22 32).
Bus
Most bus services arrive and depart from the Mackay Bus Terminal in the heart of Mackay. Airport transfers operate from here as well as the major bus services, including Greyhound. Ticket sales. bookings and schedules are available here. Corner of Victoria and Macalister Streets, (07 4944 2144).
